Rhydd Covert is a dedicated Scout and Guide camp site, run by Scouting volunteers and owned by Wyre Forest Scout Council. It is made up of 45 acres of unspoilt woodland and grassed areas, which fall naturally into individual camping grounds of varying sizes, all with running water close by and vehicle access. Our immediate neighbours are the Rifle Range Nature Reserve, and the popular West Midland Safari Park (you may hear many strange and interesting animal noises during your stay!)

  • The Activity Centre – Newly extended bedroom area to sleep up to 22 people. The centre has a large main room, 2 side rooms, fitted kitchen, toilets and showers.

  • Toilets with disabled facilities, and a recently renovated shower block

  • Recreation Ground – a large flat grassed area with lighting and a flagpole

  • Camping sites – numerous sites of varying sizes, some central and others more secluded

  • Activities – a full range of on-site activities are available

  • The amenities of a nearby town – Kidderminster has a range of supermarkets, some of which deliver to Rhydd Covert, and medical facilities including a Minor Injuries Unit.

We are ideally situated close to a number of attractions such as the ancient Wyre Forest, the historical riverside towns of Bewdley and Stourport on Severn and the Severn Valley Steam Railway, as well as being within easy striking distance of Ludlow, with its castle, and the South Shropshire Hills. Farther afield, the Black Country Museum, the Ironbridge Gorge, the Midlands canal network, and many other nationally recognised tourist attractions, are all worth a visit.

You can be sure of a warm Scouting welcome to our stunning campsite here in the heart of the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. The Rhydd Covert Team are looking forward to seeing you very soon.
